As the holiday season approaches, Osborne’s Principals and Senior Advisors pause to reflect on a year filled with progress, resilience, and collaboration. This time of year brings us back to what matters most, whether it’s reconnecting with loved ones, embracing traditions, or simply taking a moment to recharge.
From all of us at Osborne Interim Management, we send our warmest wishes for a joyful holiday season filled with peace, laughter, and reflection. May 2026 bring renewed momentum, inspiring partnerships, and continued success in all your endeavours.
I think we can all agree that these are crazy times. Change management has gone from being a nice to have tactical process to being how we live our lives, professionally and personally.
That being said, as I look at our wonderful team of principals and advisors and I reflect on all the clients we’ve had the pleasure of working with in 2025, I cannot help but remain optimistic for what’s to come. We’re in the pipeline business, but it’s not about getting bitumen to the west or gulf coasts. Our flow is talented executives and business specialists to clients across Canada, now at 30+ strong. This year we’ve engaged with everything from clean energy to ag innovation, from social services to financial services, from growers to educators. We have welcomed back clients who’ve had growth spurts, and we’ve tried our best to help those whose business has been sputtering, trying to adjust to goal posts that keep moving.
This message has not been written with the help of Chat GPT, but figuring out how and when to utilize the power of machine learning will be critically important in the coming year. It’s a little scary to be sure. It reminds me of the decade old series “Person of Interest” that built six seasons around their machine trying to save people who were targeted victims. Imagine how powerful that would be if applied to business and how much of a game changer it can and will be in calling out potentially critical health issues.
Enjoy the ride, and more than anything else help, others cope with theirs.
As my oldest daughter approaches her high school graduation, I’m sadly reminded just how quickly time is passing by, and 2025 was no exception. All the more reason to embrace the present, discard the past and look with optimism to the future. Twenty-twenty-five has been an out-of-control roller coaster for all the reasons I don’t need to recite, but the only thing we can control is how we react to it and what we allow to fill our minds and hearts. Not always easy, but when I find the world feeling heavy I look to my amazing daughters and relish in their youth and energy and hug them a little tighter. Or, I’ll go play pickleball which has been a newer sport I’ve taken up with gusto. Did you know pickleball is the new golf for business networking?
I want to thank my clients for continuing to put their trust in me for all things marketing and web-related. And to my colleagues, your connections and collaborations exemplify what it means to be part of the Osborne team.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season and a healthy, hopeful and happy 2026!
Ahh, Christmas. Few among us don’t enjoy the season – I’m a big fan.
The end of the year is a great time to reflect on the past twelve months and prepare for the next twelve. The past year has been busy, but in ways I didn’t expect. More time dedicated to community, family and friends. Engaging with those that continue to work to ensure a stronger country, business and local community. All issues that I fully support.
Looking forward, it’s easy to get lost in the weeds. Between social media and the echo chambers, we sometimes only hear what we want to hear – good or bad. I’m focusing on ensuring I can engage and build on those things where I can actually make a difference. Yes, there are other important issues, but many of them are “above my pay grade”. The secret is acknowledging them and knowing the difference.
For my clients and colleagues, I wish all the very best this Christmas season and in the upcoming new year. Peace and good will may sound trite, but they truly are the cornerstone of our society. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.
2025 has reminded me never to take things for granted. Anything is possible, good or bad, exciting or disappointing. And whenever I feel I know something with relative certainty, it can change in a second (was a great run Blue Jays). Rather than commenting on politics, and especially geopolitics, I want to focus on things I can actually influence in 2026. Time with family and friends, on initiatives with clients I feel I can provide true value, and volunteering efforts that provide me energy. I’m grateful for the variety those provide me every single day. The rest of what we deal with are simply distractions if we allow them to be. I’m grateful my family and I can travel most of the world, and have friends throughout it, yet call Canada home.
As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the many blessings that have come my way.
Family and Friends: First and foremost, I am thankful for my family and friends. They remind me of the importance of cherishing the moments we share and the bonds we build.
Good Health: I am also grateful for good health. In a world where health challenges can arise unexpectedly, I do not take for granted the ability to wake up each day feeling strong and capable. It is a gift that allows me to pursue my passions and responsibilities with vigour.
Professional Relationships: This year has been an important pivot in my career with the move to management consultancy. I am grateful for my clients, for their trust in me, and the opportunities they have given for interesting and meaningful assignments.
As we celebrate the holiday season, I wish you and your loved ones joy, peace, and happiness. May this festive season be filled with warmth and cherished moments. Let’s take this time to recharge and come back stronger, ready to embrace the opportunities of the new year.
Here’s to a healthy and fulfilling year ahead!
2025 was a year for me to right the ship, get on with living each day completely, and be as productive as I could be. And so it was. I am blessed with an amazing family and was able to regularly and frequently embrace moments with them. I have wonderful, dear friends who provide me with my North Star and a bunch of great times. I am fortunate, beyond measure, to also be associated with a grand group of fine professionals who make my work life better, more fulfilling, and a lot more enjoyable. We were able to take on some great assignments this year and we helped many become their best version of themselves.
As we approach the unknowns of 2026, I will continue to look at life as a collection of opportunities. I encourage you to as well. I will reach out and discover new perspectives and grow personally with each interaction. I hope you will as well. I will try harder to respect the opinions of others – even those I know I cannot embrace. I’m reminded that facts are not opinions, just as opinions are not necessarily based on facts. To respectfully disagree is to be alive, and such disagreement is the strongest indication that we listened first and then we responded. I encourage you to also listen first. I wish everyone a most wonderful year ahead. May it be filled with good health. May it allow you to contribute to the common good. And may it give you hope, the genesis of success and responsible living. Happy 2026!
We’ve ticked off another already, as hard as that is to believe!
1 year, 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8760 hours, 525,600 minutes, 31,536,000 seconds…. When I consider it in that context, I feel the possibility, the enormity of the opportunity that a new year represents.
Did you know, that a moment used to be a measure of time? About 90 seconds in fact. Reflecting on the year that has passed, how many moments did I embrace, treasure and lock into my memory? How many did I allow to slip away?
As we close off the old year and turn to the new, I am thinking about the promise of making the most of every moment possible in the year ahead. To be present, and purposeful, thoughtful, and perhaps a little bit silly from time to time. To embrace the days, hours, minutes and moments that a new year holds in store.
Wishing you the best of the year ahead, with a smile and a nudge to make every moment count. Happy New Year!
As 2025 draws to a close, I’m filled with gratitude towards Canada. A couple of reasons stand out: (1) my citizenship application is slowly winding its way through the process and will hopefully be granted within the next few weeks; and (2) I believe the Canadian government is doing a great job for all of us in the face of so much global uncertainty and insecurity. In my view, Canada is the best country in the world and, as a relatively recent immigrant, I feel enormously grateful to be here.
I’m optimistic we’ve turned a corner as we enter 2026 and we will all find solid footing on our paths forward. This applies not only to Canada, the economy, our organizations and the work that supports us all, but also for myself as I look ahead to what is next. I’ve been fortunate to have worked with some interesting repeat clients this year, and to meet some new and talented OIM team members. For all of this I am grateful and I remain hopeful that the best is yet to come for everyone.
Have a very Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year!
2025 was my second year navigating life after more than three decades in the corporate world. I discovered that change is not simply something that happens to us, it’s something we grow through, shaped by small choices and brave steps that accumulate over time. Nothing truly prepares you for that journey, but fortunately, we don’t walk it alone; we’re supported by family, and both old and new friends.
Year-ends offer a moment to pause and reflect on what we’ve gained, what we’ve let go of, and how our perspectives have shifted toward what truly matters.
As I look toward the new year, I’m grateful for those who strengthened my resilience, sustained me through their connection, and offered the lessons that continue to shape me
My wish for 2026 is we all meet every new adventure with curiosity and excitement. Here’s to a year ahead filled with possibility, purpose, and the joy of discovering what’s new — and to the experiences that will shape the stories we tell next year and beyond.
As 2025 draws to a close, we pause to acknowledge the lessons, growth and quiet moments that shaped us this year. Whatever 2025 has brought, let it become wisdom for our next chapters.
May your 2026, be a year of renewed energy, deeper self-awareness, and courageous steps forward. Wishing you peace in the pauses, clarity in the unknown, and joy that keeps expanding.
Gratitude and holiday blessings.
It’s hard to believe that 2025 is drawing to a close. The country and the world in general have gone through some frenetic times this year but despite this there are always many positive occurrences that have occurred, particularly with friends and family. Thank you to all Osborne clients and colleagues for your continued support. Here’s to wishing you peace, joy, and all the best this holiday season can offer.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
