Jason (JT) has spent 20+ years helping organizations close the gap between technology hype and business reality, across IT infrastructure, software development, automation, and AI. He’s worked with Fortune-100 technology companies, energy corporations, agricultural businesses, universities, technology incubators, and transportation organizations.
Working out of Calgary and Toronto, JT partners with executive teams to diagnose operational bottlenecks, identify where automation and AI create real value (not theoretical value), and build the internal systems, skills, and processes so the organization runs it without him. His philosophy is simple: solve the business problem first, then pick the technology. JT brings roadmaps, training, and implementation that actually stick. An expert at addressing the gap between the potential of technology and the real needs of business, he also advises early-stage technology companies on product-market fit, automation strategy and scaling operations.
- Led automation and AI implementations for 100+ businesses across energy, agriculture, transportation, education, and technology sectors, with engagements ranging from workflow assessment to full-scale deployment.
- Built multiple post-secondary programs from the ground up at SAIT and Mount Royal University, covering applied AI, automation, and emerging technology for both academic and corporate audiences.
- Designed and deployed a custom mobile application for an international utility company following a workplace fatality, replacing paper-based SOPs with a purpose-built field tool. This has resulted in zero incidents or fatalities since implementation. Ultimately, that project greatly improved the operational foundation of the business.
- Spent 20+ years leading domestic and international software and hardware technology teams, including enterprise roles at Apple and Robots & Pencils.
- Designed and delivered AI and automation curriculum for Women Entrepreneur organizations in two provinces, directly supporting underrepresented founders in building technology-backed businesses.
