Value Proposition

Bruce leverages over 30 years of experience in helping clients create and implement strategic initiatives, manage crisis situations and maximize the efficiency and delivery of internal services. He can lead cost reduction reviews that harvest millions in savings while maintaining essential services. His experience in procurement and logistics helps organizations implement and negotiate complicated Public Private Partnerships. He helps organizations manage critical situations, avoiding financial repercussions and political consequences. His experience in working with all levels of Government, as well as the Military, gives him an in-depth knowledge to help clients navigate political and administrative roadblocks. His strategic approach, and excellent problem solving and negotiating skills, make him a valued bilingual advisor or interim executive to both the private and not-for-profit sectors.

Selected Achievements

  • Provided strategic financial and real property advice for a $2.8 billion project to combine and co-locate government science laboratories in three new regional facilities.
  • Negotiated a 30-year Performance Agreement, operating procedures and contract disputes with a Public Private Partnership contractor for management of a $5 billion Top Secret government facility.
  • Led implementation of a new financial /HR system shared by two organizations resulting in substantial savings.
  • Key negotiator on a Hospital team that obtained $60 million funding from a provincial government for post-capital construction operations.
  • Analysed and made recommendations to avert a $100 million deficit crisis in a global organization.
  • Investigated and provided advice to federal Ministers and Deputy Ministers on several financial and personnel crisis, including the $1 billion HRDC “boondoggle” and the “sponsorship scandal”.
  • Coached a number of senior executives, overcoming career obstacles and becoming better in their current roles.
