Jean-Jack has extensive experience in strategic management and development of SMEs and business units, during start-up, expansion or turnaround stages. Specialist in strategic positioning, in engineering customer-centered processes, in clientele management and in structuring business partnerships. Solid field experience in sales and marketing, in customer service, and in business development management in very diverse industry sectors. Several years of active corporate governance on boards of Not-for-Profit organizations in education or in professional integration.

Selected Engagements

  • Built, repositioned and managed a 360-degree feedback service.
  • Devised and implemented a new business model for a food distributor and repositioned its branding, resulting in recapture of market share.
  • Reorganized the maintenance group of a water power generation plant (75 employees).
  • Turned around two fixed-price projects at risk, involving 40 people and representing a significant share of the company’s revenues, completed to the full satisfaction of the client.
  • Performed the due diligence of operations and clientele of an Ontario company, then successfully managed its merger with a Quebec company despite very different corporate cultures.
  • Established the Canadian subsidiary of a European software publisher and signed their largest sale ever, thereby helping to raise $3.5 million of venture capital.
  • Prepared the business plan of a start-up software publisher, developed its marketing material and coached the managing partners, resulting in an initial order of $2 millions.
  • Built business partnerships that brought together several enterprises sharing a common mission and strategy, resulting in increased revenues and/or economies of scale.
  • Involved in the governance of two not-for-profit organizations, including redefining the strategic directions, realigning the respective role and responsibilities of the board and of top management, and rebuilding the relationships with the organization’s stakeholders.
