He has in-depth experience managing organizations with operating budgets in the $100 million – $500 million range and expertise in implementing, managing and regulating electronic gaming operations, evaluating and developing appropriate operational and regulatory gaming policies. He is also proficient in land use planning and development, public policy evaluation and development, strategic planning, organizational restructuring, budget planning and management.

Selected Achievements

  • Managed start-up and operation of electronic gaming (VLT and Slot) and development of operational and regulatory gaming policies.
  • Worked closely with First Nations to successfully launch First Nation casino gaming. Negotiated several agreements leading to the development of First Nation casino operating and gaming regulatory bodies.
  • Operated successful consulting practice and provided consulting services to the gaming industry and regulatory bodies in Western Canada re: market feasibility of gaming operations, regulatory issues, operating applications.
  • Managed retail and wholesale distribution of a provincial alcohol beverage market.
  • Managed and directed delivery of government funding and operational programs to client groups.
  • Provided on-going advice on public policy issues to Ministers and Cabinet.
  • Consulted with client and interest groups regarding impact of programming and funding levels.
  • Negotiated and reached agreement with property developers that initiated successful downtown revitalization projects in several cities.
